The material on the right is an example of mirror sludge roasted and dried in our state of the art oven.  Albar receives this type of sludge as well as pre dried material from various mirror mfg.  We deal with everyone from the small specialty mfg to the largest mirror mfg in the world.

The following is a picture of Matthew Darwit our resident silver refining specialist charging one of our custom designed furnaces capable of handling up to 300 lbs. of mirror sludge per melt.

Cast iron molds are heated to approximately 800 degrees before any of the pouring begins, this ensures there will be no waste splash when the hot metal is lowered into the mold.  This process will produce a product ranging between 99.9% – 99.93% pure silver in one pass.
