Heeeere’s Money! Cash4Gold Scores with Commercial
It’s quite possible that prior to February 1, you had never heard of Cash4Gold. Thanks to the genius of director Bryan Buckley, that all changed in a hurry once America watched Cash4Gold’s wildly popular commercial during this year’s Super Bowl.
The Cash4Gold.com spot, entitled “One-up,” featured
late night icon Ed McMahon and hip-hop legend MC Hammer, who not
coincidentally have publically fallen on financial hard times.
Shot in McMahon’s Beverly Hills home, the celebrities describe
the Cash4Gold
service while suggesting various gold properties of their own
that they could send in for cash.
"I could get cash for this gold medallion of me wearing a gold medallion!" Hammer famously exclaims. Other hilarious items up for consideration are McMahon’s gold microphone, golf clubs, giraffe and hip replacement, as well as Hammer’s gold records, "gold sledgehammer, baby," and even his gold pants. Each new item more ridiculous than the last, McMahon ties up the spot by somberly bidding, “Goodbye, old friend” to his gold toilet.
The ad drew critical acclaim and views multiplied across the internet. No other refinery has ever received such prime time commercial prominence before. So, who is Cash4Gold, and how did they get here?
The company’s rise has been meteoric, but it didn’t occur over night. Cash4Gold became the first refinery of its kind to work directly with the public, thus cutting out the middle man. It was founded in 2007 by two remarkable entrepreneurs – Jeff Aronson and Howard Mofshin – who combine decades of experience in precious metals and finance. The company traces its roots to Albar Precious Metals, one of the country’s most successful precious metal refineries, founded by Aronson in Chicago in 2001.
Cash4Gold employs nearly 300 people, and is one of the world’s fastest growing companies. A state of the art headquarters and processing facility is currently being built that will set even higher industry standards for quality control, efficiency, security and customer satisfaction. The 40,000-square foot facility, slated for opening later this year, will be a modern Fort Knox, with advanced detection systems that will measure the amounts of precious metal on everyone who enters and leaves the building.
Cash4Gold has grown quickly, partly in response to keen advertising. The company’s founders are taking the company to the next level, symbolized by this Super Bowl ad that introduced the company to millions of Americans and voluntarily opened itself to increased scrutiny as the industry leader.
